My Certifications

ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer

It's no secret - fitness training has been proven to prevent disease, strengthen your health and improve your confidence and outlook on life. As a certified fitness trainer, I'm deeply trained in everything from muscle mechanics to flexibility and cardiovascular dynamics. So if you want to live a stronger and more confident life, I've got the training and the expertise to help you every step of the way.

ISSA Corrective Exercise Specialist

Whether you sit for long periods of time, are a weekend warrior, or fall somewhere in-between, it is quite likely that you may have a movement deficiency that is causing suboptimal physical performance and increased physical pain. As a specialist certified in corrective exercise, I can perform movement assessments, make referrals to medical professionals when necessary, and incorporate appropriate strategies into your training program to help you correct movement dysfunctions and muscle imbalances. Ultimately, this will lead to improved physical performance and reduced physical pain.

ISSA Bodybuilding Specialist

When most individuals think about the sport of bodybuilding, images of big, dumb guys grunting and throwing weight around are often conjured up. This could not be further from the truth! Serious bodybuilders are part athlete, part scientist, and part artist. As a specialist in this area, I can provide training, recovery, motivational, and nutritional strategies to help you achieve maximal muscle growth and optimize physical appearance.

ISSA Specialist in Senior Fitness

Modern science has given us the ability to slow and even reverse the negative effects of aging. And study after study has shown that seniors are not only capable of real exercise, but can vastly improve their health, strength, mobility, and independence through exercise. As an ISSA student working toward my certification in senior fitness, I will soon be able to help you set realistic goals for your health, and then enjoy achieving and exceeding them.

ISSA GLUTE SPECIALIST

While many people associate glute training with aesthetics, as a specialist, I approach it as the foundation of human movement. The gluteal muscles are the largest and strongest muscle group in the body, serving as the primary "engine" that powers your walk, stabilizes your hips, and protects your lower back.

This advanced certification has equipped me with a deep understanding of the posterior chain mechanics. For my senior clients, this expertise is critical for:

  • Alleviating Back & Knee Pain: Weak glutes often force the lower back and knees to overcompensate. I teach you how to fire the right muscles to relieve that pressure.

  • Fall Prevention: The Gluteus Medius is responsible for balance when standing on one leg (which happens every time you take a step). Strengthening this area is one of the best ways to improve stability.
  • Daily Independence: Strong glutes are essential for the "sit-to-stand" movement, helping you get out of chairs and climb stairs with confidence.
